Preparing for a Career

Finding the right career

No matter how far along you are with your high school studies or career planning, the best time to start thinking about your career interests is right now. IU High School partners with IU Bloomington Career Exploration & Student Employment to provide career planning resources, and we are developing programs and courses focused on career readiness for our students.

As you plan for your career, we recommend exploring many different options based on your interests and your plans regarding training and higher education. Whether you're planning to attend college or not, each career field has dozens of options that are open to you, but it's important to begin planning as early as you can.

Personal & Professional Development for Athletes

IU High School is developing a course on personal and professional development for athletes. Many IU High School students are already pursuing or preparing for a professional or college career in athletics, both of which come with special difficulties and requirements. We want to make sure that athletes are prepared for what comes after high school.

If you or your parents have ideas or suggestions to help us as we develop this course, please share them with us at iuhs@iu.edu.
