Tuition and fees

We do our best at all times to give you accurate and current financial information. However, please be aware that Indiana University can change, without notice, statements concerning fees, rules, policies, curricula, courses, or other matters. Changes are most likely to occur on July 1 (the beginning of each new fiscal year).

As stated in the Student Handbook, a student may drop a course within 30 days of their enrollment and request a refund of tuition. Service, processing, program, and application fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be processed after the 30-day window. To request a refund, email iuhs@indiana.edu within 30 days of your initial enrollment.

Textbooks

IUHS courses typically have required textbooks. Textbook prices are not included in the cost of tuition.

You may purchase your textbooks through the IU Bookstore. In addition, most of the textbooks used are available through independent retailers.

Be advised, however, that there are often multiple editions of the same textbook on the market. It's your responsibility to make sure that the textbooks you purchase have the same ISBN numbers as those used in your course. You can find the ISBN numbers with the course descriptions.

Exam Proctoring

IU High School courses have proctored exams embedded in the curricula. Unless otherwise stated, these proctored exams are taken through Examitya free online proctoring service that allows you to take exams at home with an Examity online proctor using a webcam and photo ID.

Examity is free for students.

Information about exam proctoring in courses where Examity is not used is located in your course syllabus. In these cases, you may make use of free resources such as a local school principal or guidance counselor's office. You may also choose to use an exam or proctoring center, or similar location, which is likely to involve a small fee for which the student is responsible.

Please review the guidelines for using a non-Examity proctor in the IU High School Student Handbook here
