Shae Young

B.A. in English Education (Ball State University)

Shae Young graduated from Ball State with her B.A. in English Education in 2005. Since then, she has taught English/language arts at a variety of schools and levels. She has taught 7th-12th grade reading, writing, and etymology. Currently, she teaches 8th grade ELA at a brick and mortar school as well as two American Literature courses at IUHS. She has created curriculum for her school as well as for the Indiana Department of Education.

On top of teaching and writing curriculum, Shae has also published three books, been involved in student ministry, and worked at camps and youth centers across the state of Indiana. She spends most of her time outside of school watching her kids play soccer and basketball or cheering for them as they run. If she gets any free time, she enjoys being out in nature or snuggling under a blanket while binge-watching Netflix.
