Margaret (Peg) Heckman has two degrees in arts and plans to finish her third. She holds a B.S. in art therapy from the University of Evansville and a B.S. in art education from the University of Southern Indiana. While studying at U.E., Peg had the opportunity to live at their British Neo-Victorian manor, Harlaxton. Her art history class was held in a room with cherubs painted on the ceilings. While studying in Europe, she visited many art galleries, cathedrals, and historic sites. Her interest in all arts has always intrigued her curiosity. While not looking at art, Peg is an active artist in printmaking, acrylics, oils, and photography.

Peg has taught all grades and levels of art for the past 20 years Currently, she is teaching at an urban elementary school in Evansville, IN since 2021 and has taught art history for IUHS since 2020.
