Indiana University High School gives you the flexibility to pursue your dreams without missing out on a top-quality high school education.
If you are a young athlete or performer, you may reach a point in your training where your practice and competition needs no longer fit comfortably within a traditional school calendar. With Indiana University High School, you can balance a challenging, top-quality education with your busy schedule.
IUHS students have the freedom to practice during the day and study in the evening, to travel to prestigious music competitions, or to take three months off to train full-time - without missing out on any of the courses needed to graduate.
IUHS is an accredited distance education school that provides courses that meet Indiana Department of Education standards and are developed by high school teachers who are certified in their subject area. As an IUHS student, you have the option of earning a general education, college prep, or academic honors diploma - or even applying the credits you earn from IUHS toward a diploma from a specialized performing arts program or your local high school.
IUHS is for athletes and performers!
IUHS graduates have competed in the Olympics, earned admission to prestigious music programs, and gone on to some of the best universities in the United States. If you are interested in becoming an IUHS diploma student, talk with an IUHS advisor about what you need to do to transfer prior course work to IUHS or to register for a course.
If you prefer to graduate from your current school, talk with your guidance counselor first to see how IUHS credits apply to your school's requirements.

“I had a great experience attending IUHS. I learned everything I would have—and more—than if I had been in a traditional high school; yet I still had a lot of free time for practicing my instruments and doing other activities. Whenever I had a question, someone would always be there.”
