Indiana University High School offers affordable online advanced placement (AP) courses in English, science, social studies, and math. The courses are written and taught by licensed, certified teachers, and they are approved by the College Board.
AP courses are designed to
The courses are available in an independent study online format (12 months), as well as a semester-based online format (four months). Students are invited to select the format that best suits their needs.
The independent study online format may be most appealing to students who want the challenge of AP courses but who who prefer additional time to complete their course work.
The semester-based format is recommended, but not required, for students planning to take the May 2012 national AP exams. If you do plan to take the national exams, you
are encouraged to take both semesters of a two-semester course.
have four months to complete your course work during each semester.
take your midterm and final exams during designated weeks.
are expected to work at a steady pace in between exams.
complete your spring semester of course work in plenty of time to take the College Board's May exams.
Registrations for the spring 2012 semester-based courses will open on December 1. To register for a semester-based AP course, call 800.334.1011 or 812.855.2292. No registrations accepted after first week of course.

Indiana University High School does not administer AP exams. However, you can contact the College Board to get the names and telephone numbers of the AP coordinators in your area who can register you for, and administer, the exams. See dates for the May 2012 exams.
